Crowley Hoping Cheyenne Can Star Again

Frances Crowley is hoping Cheyenne Star can return to her best form in the Ridgewood Pearl Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.

The five-year-old is bidding to land the Group Three contest for a second time having beaten the progressive Heaven Sent 12 months ago.

She did though run below par when only 10th of 11 behind Prima Luce at this track on her seasonal debut earlier this month.

"She disappointed us last time at the Curragh but I think that was just down to the ground," said the County Kildare trainer.

"She´s been working well at home and if she´s in the same form as she was last year I´d like to think she´d have a good chance."

Wilful has already played a significant role in the training partnership of Jonjo and A J O’Neill, and the Cheltenham Festival hero could now be asked to deliver the duo their first top level success if he lines up in next month’s Punchestown Champion Hurdle.
