Darley fit for Pipalong ride

Kevin Darley is fit to take his ride on Pipalong as the pair bid for a repeat success in the Stg£150,000 Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock Park today.

The champion jockey gave up his last ride of the day at Kempton on Friday after being unseated earlier in the afternoon.

But his agent Terry Norman said this morning: 'He`s fine and will be riding today. I didn`t see what happened but apparently he just fell of a horse, I think it was his first mount, but he rode afterwards.

'He only just got off the last one because he`d had three rides after it happened. But he`ll be fine and will definitely be riding today.'

Pipalong is 9-2 joint-favourite for the Group One contest with the sponsors.
