Denman New Gold Cup Favourite On Betfair

If Denman wasn't fully tuned-up yesterday, then Kauto Star is in for one hell of a fight next March.

And the Betfair market believes that Denman might well trump his better-known stable-mate at Cheltenham, as The Harry Findlay/Paul Barber-owned chaser is the new 3.5 favourite on the exchange for The Gold Cup, with Kauto Star at 3.65, and Exotic Dancer the best of the rest at 10.

And the Betfair Hennessy market suggested there may even be better to come. Denman drifted to over 13-2, from less than 4-1, pre-race for today's race on Betfair, before his stunning runaway win.

Betfair spokesman Eoin Ryan commented: 'That was an awesome performance, and the prospect of us paying out the Betfair Million bonus for a second year running has eased a bit after that.''
