Hollie Doyle sidelined with leg injury Hollie Doyle is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury at Bath on Friday. Doyle was riding Vault Of Heaven for trainer Kevin Frost in a sprint handicap when her mount went badly wrong after two furlongs. She took to social media on Saturday to say she would be out of action for “a while”, with no return date specified. Doyle said: “Thank you for all the messages, unfortunately I will be on the sidelines for a while after sustaining an injury at Bath yesterday. Thoughts are with connections. I’ll be back!” She was supposed to be riding at Salisbury on Saturday evening. Her mount in the feature British Stallion Studs EBF Cathedral Stakes on Zoum Zoum has gone to Daniel Muscutt. Doyle’s husband, fellow jockey Tom Marquand, told Racing TV his wife requires an operation. He said: “She’s gutted first and foremost as she just felt she was running on into the season and finding a few fun horses. “Thankfully it’s a leg and nothing more serious, I think she’s due for an operation at some point today, hopefully they sort it out in one and she can concentrate on getting back as fast as possible.”
