DREAM TO BYPASS AINTREE

Function Dream will bypass Aintree and head straight for the rescheduled Cheltenham Festival, it emerged today.

Mary Reveley`s mare disappointed on her latest start at Huntingdon, having won her five previous races in good style to earn a prominent position in the betting for the Queen Mother Champion Chase which is now due to be run on April 18TH.

'She`s shown nothing at home to suggest there was anything wrong with her last time,' the Saltburn trainer said. 'She might be at the end of her tether after a hard season running in competitive races.

'She won`t go to Liverpool. She`ll head straight to Cheltenham.'

Function Dream is owned by a bunch of enthusiastic Irishmen and Mrs Reveley said: 'They weren`t going to come but I think they might come over if the foot and mouth situation eases.'

Mrs Reveley intends sending Robbo and Merry Masquerade to Ascot on Saturday.

Robbo is entered in the Grosvenor Casinos Handicap Chase over an extended two miles and three furlongs and Merry Masquerade is due to run in the Grade Two Weatherbys Hurdle.
