Dutch Eased For Haydock Glory Dutch Art is on the drift for the Betfred Sprint Cup after again having to settle for second as Marchand D'Or powered to back-to-back wins in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville. The Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained Dutch Art had found just one too good last time out in the July Cup at Newmarket and was a strong fancy to go one better over this six and a half furlongs. He picked up well when asked by Jimmy Fortune but had no answer to the late charge of the Freddie Head-trained Marchand D'Or, who came widest of all under Davy Bonilla.Fortune told the Racing Post: 'The ground was very fast and he wouldn't let himself go. I was into him soon after the start.'Coral eased Dutch Art to 7-1 (from 9-2) for next month's Haydock event, with Marchand D'Or, who had finished only fourth in the July Cup, an 8-1 chance from 14-1.July Cup winner Sakhee's Secret is the 2-1 market leader for the September 8 race.Head said of his winner: 'This is a very good horse and I would like to dedicate this win to my team as he is not an easy horse to handle.'Bonilla added: 'It was a different type of race to last year. The ground was different, but he showed just how good a horse he is.'(C) PA Sport
