Eile Sidesteps Chester Test Leading totesport Chester Cup fancy Al Eile will miss next Wednesday´s famous race in favour of the John Smith´s Northumberland Plate later in the campaign.Trainer John Queally was so thrilled by his stable star´s easy victory in last month´s Aintree Hurdle that he decided to keep him going, as his winter campaign had been interrupted by problems.Still just a seven-year-old, Al Eile is as capable as any on his day over hurdles, but comes into his own at Aintree where he has won three out of four starts. He has managed three wins on the level too, including the 2004 Leopardstown November Handicap, in which he was second last year, and was trading around 7-1 behind favourite Galient.Queally said: 'We´re going to give Chester a miss. There was just a little concern about him handling the track there, and we thought it would probably be very firm ground too.'He´s fine at the moment, absolutely 100% and we think we will go for the Newcastle race in June. He always runs well fresh, so that´s where we´ll go.'(C) PA Sport
