Elletelle set for Irish 1000 Elletelle, winner of the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last summer, will be trained with a crack at the Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas in mind. Ger Lyons´ filly, also third in the Cherry Hinton and Group One Phoenix Stakes last term, has not been seen since finishing sixth to Natagora in the Cheveley Park at Newmarket. Her County Meath-based trainer admits he is in the dark as to whether she will stay a mile this term, but hopes she will show enough stamina to justify a crack at the Curragh Classic on May 25. Lyons said: "We took her out of the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket as she´s just taken a while to come to herself after the winter. "We´re now going to train her with the Irish 1000 in mind. She´s been put in the Athasi Stakes over seven furlongs (May 5th), and we´ll maybe look at the Tetrarch too. "I´m just a little bit worried about her getting the mile and we´ll know more when she´s been out this year. "My gut feeling is that she might just not get it, as she has so much speed, but we need to see if we can get her to settle."
