Elliott to saddle three in Savills Chase Gordon Elliott is set for a very busy Christmas period and will be triple handed in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown on Tuesday. Galvin will lead the trio from Cullentra in the Grade 1 three-miler and will be joined by 2019 winner Delta Work and Samcro in the field. Another highlight of the festive action will be the appearance of leading juvenile Fil Dor in the Grade 2 Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle. With Jack Kennedy and Jordan Gainford returning from injury Elliott will be able to call on all his regular jockeys and in conversation with journalist Dave Keena he said on Thursday:- “It's great to have Jack back, obviously Jordan too, and to have Davy and all the jockeys riding. It's exciting times. “We have two in the juvenile hurdle. We have Britzka who won well at Fairyhoue, Jack rides him and Davy rides Fil Dor again. “He has a 3lb penalty for beating Noel Meade's horse a length-and-a-half the last day and hopefully we can overcome that. He's a nice horse. “He's a big horse and with a summer's grass next year he could be anything. He's a nice horse to look forward to. “We'll probably run three in the Savills Chase, we'll run Samcro in it as well. “I'm looking forward to it, it's going to be a competitive race but it's nice to be well represented. “Delta Work will come on a lot from Down Royal and he's in good form. “Galvin will love the ground and I though he ran a career best in Down Royal. He's one of those horses that you love everything to do with him. “He runs a good race everyday and wants to please you the whole time, so we're very lucky to have him.” The highlight of the opening say action down in Limerick is the Grade 1 Boylesports Faugheen Novice Chase and Farouk D'alene is a leading contender for Elliott. It's also a big opportunity for Jordan Gainford who takes his first mount at the top level in the two-mile-three contest. “Jordan wouldn't have rode a horse with a chance like this in a Grade 1 before. “I think he's got a proper chance, I think he'll love the soft ground. He has improved no end from his first run at Navan. I'm very sweet on him”
