Fadalko still on Champion trail Fadalko will tackle Wednesday`s Queen Mother Champion Chase despite flopping badly in a workout at Wincanton. The gelding, who will be ridden by Ruby Walsh at Cheltenham, trailed home last of eight horses trainer Paul Nicholls sent to the track on Thursday. But Barry Simpson, racing manager to Fadalko`s owner Robert Ogden, said today: 'Fadalko will still run at Cheltenham and Ruby Walsh will ride him. The horse will not be wearing blinkers.'Fadalko has yet to sparkle this season, and was trounced 13 lengths last month by Lady Cricket in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury.Simpson added: 'If he had been beaten two lengths by Lady Cricket then we could have understood it but he was beaten a long way from home and afterwards we felt he just jacked it in. That is why we tried him in blinkers yesterday.'Clearly, though, he didn`t enjoy the experience at all and he just ran too free.'In the past he has come good at this time of year, so we just hope that is the case on Wednesday. But his work was not encouraging.'
