FITZGERALD BACK IN BUSINESS

Mick Fitzgerald will partner See More Business in tomorrow`s stg#120,000 Martell Cup Chase, the highlight on the first day of the Grand National meeting at Aintree.

Fitzgerald has been out of action since injuring his shoulder and taking a bump to the head when his mount Bella Macrae was brought down at Ascot last Saturday.

However, he will return to the track at Liverpool tomorrow where See More Business takes on Pertemps King George VI Chase winner First Gold and five others in the feature race.

Fitzgerald said today: 'I`ll be there. Everything is A1 and the shoulder feels fine.

'I`m going to see the physio today and I`ll see the physio again tomorrow. I`ve got to pass the doctor and we`ll go from there.'

See More Business, who won the Martell Cup last season, finished 26? lengths behind First Gold in fifth place in the King George at Kempton but bounced back to his best when landing the Pillar Property Chase at Cheltenham last time out.

'I`m very much looking forward to riding him,' Fitzgerald added.

'He`s become one of my favourite horses and has won big races for me.

'Paul (Nicholls) has been training him for this race for quite some time so hopefully he can retain his title.'

A high-class field for the Grade Two contest is made up by King George third Bellator, De Vere Gold Cup winner Frantic Tan, the Jonjo O`Neill-trained Legal Right, Racing Post Chase hero Young Spartacus and last year`s Royal & SunAlliance Chase winner Lord Noelie.

Fitzgerald will ride Pedro Pete for trainer Nicky Henderson in the stg£100,000 Glenlivet Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices` Hurdle for which 14 horses have been declared.

Likely favourite is Bilboa, like First Gold trained by Francois Doumen, who was one of the leading fancies for the Triumph Hurdle.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Azertyuiop, winner of the Axminster Hurdle at Wincanton on his British debut last month, heads the home defence.

Fitzgerald is set to partner Dark Shell for Henderson in the Grade Two Barton and Guestier Top Novices` Hurdle.

His rivals in the extended two-mile contest will include Martin Pipe`s impressive Wincanton winner Swan Knight and the highly-rated Impek.
