Fracas Set For Ballyroan Bid

David Wachman is more likely to run Fracas than Downtown in the Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Fracas has returned to form this season having won his last two races, including the Group Three Meld Stakes over 10 furlongs on his last start.

He will step up to a mile and half for the first time this term in Sunday's Group Three contest, which has been won by the likes of Vinnie Roe and Kastoria in recent years.

'I think Fracas will probably run,' said Wachman. 'It's a nice day today but I believe the forecast is poor for Leopardstown over the next few days.

'He will probably be the more likely one though.

'Downtown is still improving but she had a hard enough race last time and she might go for the mile-and-five Group Two at Doncaster, the Park Hill (September 13) ? that could be the race for her.

'She might be one to stay in training next year.'
