Galway Thursday - Early Market Round Up Daily guide to the early trade in the markets at Galway with Eoin Ryan of Betfair. The first two days of action here at Ballybrit went the way of the bookmakers and exchange layers but Day 3 certainly belonged to the punters.Today´s card kicks off at 1.50pm with a 2M6F Beginners Chase and Beautiful Vision has been cut by all the firms this morning and has also contracted sharply in the early skirmishes on Betfair. The early 11-2 and 5-1 is all gone now and 3-1 is the best price available on the high street. Noel Meade´s Yarra Maguire has also attracted some cash and is a 6-1 shot generally, although Betfred stand out at 10´s. Tony Martin and Ruby Walsh once again team up here with Reisk Superman and although there has been no move in the market yet, it may well be that on-course this one comes in for some support. The same connections teamed up to score with the well backed Connick Bridge earlier in the week and market moves for horses from these quarters deserve maximum respect as always. Edward O´Grady´s Medicinal has been popular in the second heat, a 2M1F Novice Chase, and is as short as 2-1 with VC bet. He´s still 11-4 on Betfair though and there has been some support for Prarie Moonlight also. He trades at 6-1 generally but is still 7-1 with Paddy Power. One of the best backed horses of the day runs in the third race, a 2M4F Novice hurdle. Aldhaher Beebers was 11-2 early doors on Betfair but now trades at just 7-2 there, whilst the best high street price available is the 7-2 with Boylesports. Field Commander has been weak, and trades at 9-2 from 3-1.Balakan is the mover in the Guinness Galway Hurdle, having been put up by several shrewd paper tipsters including Pricewise in the Racing Post. He´s trading at around 14-1 on Betfair but has been cut into a general 10-1 by the high street firms. Rocket Ship and Middlemarch are also attracting each way support at bigger odds. There are no notable movers in the fifth race whilst Miss Gorica has attracted each way money in the sixth race, a 7F handicap.Bad Boy and Black Beauty are the two early movers in the market for the seventh race, with the latter in particular looking set to contract further. With this in mind, the current 16-1 offer from Hills and Bet365 may look like good each way value by post time. The concluding bumper will be a seriously lively heat although there hasn´t been any major morning support for anything, although Vickys Thyne is attracting some money at 16 and 20-1.
