Glance heads Nell Gywn field Henry Cecil`s Half Glance heads a field of 10 for the Shadwell Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes on the opening day of the Craven Meeting at Newmarket tomorrow.And the Danehill filly will be bidding to book her place in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas back at Headquarters on May 5th for which she is a 25-1 chance with William Hill.She showed smart form as a two-year-old winning the Group Three Rothmans Royals May Hill Stakes at Doncaster to take a two-race unbeaten record to the Meon Valley Stud Fillies` Mile at Ascot where she was fourth to Gossamer.Cecil has won the 1000 Guineas six times with Oh So Sharp in 1985 being the last filly to start her Classic-winning season with victory in the Nell Gwyn.Nine of the 10 fillies declared for tomorrow`s Group Three contest over seven furlongs hold entries in the Newmarket Classic, the only exception being the Geoff Wragg-trained Trojan Princess.John Dunlop is double-handed with Massarra and Snowfire while other interesting contenders include the Mick Channon-trained Ya Hajar, who was sixth in the Prix Marcel Boussac, Sir Michael Stoute`s Alasha and Misterah from Marcus Tregoning`s stable.Tedburrow has suffered a slight setback and will miss the NGK Spark Plugs Abernant Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow.The 10-year-old sprinter was found to have a slight overreach when about to leave his trainer Eric Alston`s stables in Preston this morning shortly after being declared at the overnight stage for the Listed race over six furlongs.'He was fine first thing and it was only when he was being loaded into his box to go to Newmarket that we noticed something was wrong,' said the trainer`s wife Sue Alston.'He has a slight overreach on the bulb of his heel.
