Godolphin Duo Delight

Ramonti and Creachadoir are 'right on target' for their respective races in Hong Kong this weekend, according to Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford.

Ramonti, who won the Queen Anne, Sussex Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last season, is set to step up in trip to 10 furlongs for the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup.

'Both horses went really well in their work last Saturday (in Dubai). We were delighted with them. They are right on target for their races,' said Crisford.

'I think 2000m will suit Ramonti around Sha Tin. He was second in the Italian Derby two years ago over 2400m so I am not worried about the trip.

'What's more of an issue is that it's going to be hard for him to add another Group One race against such strong Hong Kong opposition ? both Viva Pataca and Vengeance of Rain are proven to be top class and they have the local advantage.

'Looking at Ramonti's CV now, it has slightly surprised us how far he has come this year, but he has always been a good horse. It has been a fantastic Group One hat-trick.'

Creachadoir will take his chance in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile after finding 10 furlongs too far in the Champion Stakes on his last start.

'He didn't get the trip in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket, but will be much better over this mile in Hong Kong,' Crisford told www.hkjc.com.

'He really is in tremendous form and I'm sure he will run up to his rating and be thereabouts at the finish.'

Ramonti is 9-4 second favourite with VC Bet for the Hong Kong Cup behind even-money market leader Viva Pataca.
