Griffin Favouring French Option Finicius is likely to head for Longchamp to take his chance in the French 2000 Guineas rather than run in the English or Irish versions.Eoin Griffin's three-year-old won impressively on his debut and was then pitched into Group Three company for the Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh. He only finished fifth that day after suffering trouble in running and has been off the track since because of a slight setback.'I'd say he will more than likely go in the French 2000 Guineas,' said Griffin. 'He won his maiden very impressively at the Curragh and then he was unlucky in a Group Three.'We then had to stop with him unfortunately as he got injured. To us he seems like a very nice horse, I know it is a completely different level but he will probably take his chance (in France).'He would have options of staying at home for a Group Three at the Curragh on May 7 and then going for the Irish 2000, but the owner is leaning towards taking his chance in France,' he told At The Races.(C) PA Sport
