Haydock switch to jumps

Haydock Park`s meeting on Saturday will be a jumps programme, it was decided today.

The course had been scheduled to stage a Flat fixture but the track is waterlogged, prompting a switch to a National Hunt card.

Haydock representative Gordon Boreland said: 'The meeting at Haydock on Saturday will be jumps rather than Flat. The Flat course is waterlogged in places.

'The going on the jumps course is heavy.'
