Highclere Fired Up For Million Bid Fireside could have the opportunity to earn more money from his first start than most horses earn in a lifetime by making his debut in Friday's Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Million at the Curragh.The Dr Fong colt, who is owned by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, has been given a positive progress report by trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam, a man with an embarrassment of riches in the juvenile division.'The plan is to go,' said Highclere representative Alex Smith. 'He is making his debut, but is a horse we did have high hopes of getting out earlier in the season to go for some of the very good races.'Peter thinks he's a decent two-year-old in the making. It's an unusual thing to do, but given the huge level of prize money, it is worth a try.'Jim Bolger's brilliant New Approach is still in the race, although he is likely to head for Sunday's National Stakes instead, while a number of the 22 entries are British-trained.There are several classy types in the newly-upgraded Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Fillies Million on the same card.The Dermot Weld-trained Campfire Glow, who beat Listen in the Debutante Stakes, could be joined by Clive Brittain's well-regarded Albabilia.(C) PA Sport
