HINDIANA HAS ASCOT OPTION

Exciting hurdler Hindiana was among 15 entries revealed today for Saturday`s stg£31,000 Weatherbys Long Distance Hurdle at Ascot.

The Paul Green-owned six-year-old has won all his three starts for trainer Ferdy Murphy this season since his import from France.

The gelding was a very impressive winner on his most recent start, beating the highly-regarded Europa by 13 lengths at Huntingdon.

His trainer said: 'He`s a possible at Ascot but we`ll just take it a day at a time.

'The instruction from Mr Green is to enter him in every race we can.

'He`s extremely well and we`ve put him in to have a look.

'He`ll also be entered at Aintree and we will look at all the options with Mr Green.'

Hindiana has won over two and a half miles and three miles, giving connections plenty of choice for potential targets.

'He seems to stay all day but he quickened up well over two and a half miles last time,' Murphy said.

'He`ll have plenty of options at Liverpool. He`llbe entered in the Martell Aintree Hurdle, a few handicaps, the three-mile novice and the two-and-a-half-mile novice.'

Last year`s winner Teaatral has also been entered for the Ascot Grade Two contest, as has his Rendlesham Hurdle conqueror Merry Masquerade.

Anzum, winner of the Stayers` Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in 1999, is another possible contender.
