Hurdles abandoned at Lingfield There will be no hurdle races on Lingfield Park`s mixed card tomorrow.Heavy rain has hit the Surrey track and left the hurdles course soft, heavy in places this morning.An inspection was called to assess prospects but officials were left with little option but to abandon.A course spokesman said: 'We`ve abandoned - it`s unraceable.'Saturday`s card was due to feature three contests over hurdles, including the Stg£20,000 Lingfield Gold Cup Hurdle.The highlight of the card is the Stg£60,000 Littlewoods Bet Direct On 0800 329393 Winter Derby over 10 furlongs on the all-weather Polytrack surface.
