Jarvis Mulling Mile Bid William Jarvis will consider the £150,000 totesport Mile for Tobosa should ground conditions be suitable for his colt at Goodwood. The sponsors have installed Tobosa and Ea, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, as the 10-1 joint-favourites for the Heritage Handicap at Glorious Goodwood on August 3.Tobosa has some smart form to his name, defying top weight in the Silver Bowl at Haydock and finishing fifth to French Derby hero Lawman in the Prix Jean Prat on his last two starts.Jarvis said: 'Tobosa has been given an entry in the totesport Mile, although at this stage he would not be a definite starter.'Saying that, it is an incredibly valuable prize, and it would be great to have a fancied runner in the race.'He showed his true turn of foot when he won at Haydock on quick ground ? it was far too soft for him in France last time and he never had a chance.'I think he's a very classy horse and one that will get better as he gets older.'I think his weight of 9st 7lb is fair enough. He would not have a lot in hand off that mark, but his form is very good and he is entitled to carry that weight.'We will keep our options open with Tobosa and ground conditions will determine where we go with him.'(C) PA Sport
