Johannesburg has Dubai option

Aidan O`Brien has entered Johannesburg in the Group Two UAE Derby at the 2002 Dubai World Cup meeting, it was revealed today.

The champion two-year-old of this year in Europe and America is among 13 entries at the meeting from Ballydoyle.

A total of 62 British-trained horses have been entered for the meeting.

The combined total of 720 entries were announced last night at Nad Al Sheba by World Cup Committee Chairman, Les Benton.

The US6million World Cup is the highlight of the richest day of racing in the world, which will take place on March 23rd next year.

The strong entry for the Emirates-sponsored World Cup includes Godolphin`s champion Sakhee, Dubai Champion Stakes winner Nayef and Australian champions Northerly, Ethereal and Sunline.
