Joy Ruled Out Of Guineas Ante-post punters have suffered yet another blow with the news that Sense Of Joy, one of the leading fancies for the stanjamesuk.com 1000 Guineas, will miss the fillies´ Classic at Newmarket on May 4. John Gosden´s charge won both her starts as a juvenile, but has not been seen since the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last August and soft tissue damage means she now joins the likes of Listen and Winker Watson on the sidelines. "It is not life-threatening, but still potentially serious and it will keep her out of the Guineas," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to her owner Khalid Abdullah. "The soft tissue problem was confirmed and I hope it will not be too bad, but we just want to get her properly checked out before we know any more." Grimthorpe confirmed Fillies´ Mile runner-up Proviso would not be called up as a supersub at Newmarket. "Proviso will not be running in the English 1000 Guineas - she will be running in the Prix Vanteaux." The Guineas sponsors quickly cut Natagora a point to 4-1 favourite. (C) PA Sport
