Katchit Hot Favourite For Fighting Fifth Last season's Triumph hurdle winner Katchit heads an eight strong entry for the WBX.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle this Saturday. The talented four year old from the Alan King yard made a pleasing seasonal reappearance at Aintree last month, and his trainer will be hoping that he can continue his winning ways at Newcastle this weekend. Katchit has only been beaten on one of his nine starts, but he will face a stiff challenge from the likes of Harchibald, who won the Fighting firth back in 2004, and the Eddie O'Grady's highly regarded Clopf.Other notable entries include John Queally's dual Aintree hurdle winner Al Eile, and another former winner of the Fighting Fifth, The French Furze.William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny said 'The Triumph Hurdle often leaves a mark on four year old's, and there's no coincidence that no four-year-old has won the race in the last twenty two years.
