Knife Edge picks up injury Leading novice chaser Knife Edge faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury, it emerged today.Knife Edge has won three of his four starts over fences for trainer Michael O`Brien and was a leading fancy for Cheltenham Festival honours until the foot-and-mouth disease intervened.'He has a slight fracture of his off-fore canon bone,' explained O`Brien. 'Thankfully it`s not really serious.'Rest is the cure and we`ll give him plenty of time to recover. We`d hope to have him back by Christmas.'It`s a bit frustrating missing out on Fairyhouse this week and the plan was then to go for the Power Gold Cup the following week.'O`Brien`s Galway Plate winner Dovaly also faces a period on the easy list.He said: 'Dovaly will miss the Irish Grand National and the Galway Plate because he`s recovering from an operation on a twisted gut.'
