Latalomne preparing well for Cheltenham Brian Ellison`s stable star Latalomne is still on course for a crack at the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, the Malton trainer said today.Latalomne won in good style at Cheltenham in November before finishing fifth behind Flagship Uberalles in the Mitsubishi Shogun Tingle Creek Trophy at Sandown.'I gave him December off but he has come back looking a million dollars and is cantering again,' revealed Ellison.'We won`t run him before Cheltenham and we are just hoping for some fast ground there. If he gets it as he likes it, I think he will go with an each-way chance, but if we have to give it a miss if it turns up too soft, we have always got Aintree and Punchestown to think about.'Latalomne is a 14-1 chance with William Hill for the Queen Mother Champion Chase on March 13th.Ellison`s useful hurdler Batswing is on course to make his debut over fences at Musselburgh on Friday. The trainer is hoping Tony McCoy will be available for Batswing, but added: 'If he can`t, then Vinnie Keane will ride.'
