Leger On The Agenda For Aqaleem Aqaleem could bid for Classic success later in the season after his encouraging third in the Vodafone Derby as connections consider an assault on the Ladbrokes St Leger.Marcus Tregoning´s charge found only impressive winner Authorized and Aidan O´Brien´s Eagle Mountain too strong at Epsom on Saturday and the Lambourn handler thinks there will be more to come.'The St Leger is a potential option for him and he´ll obviously run somewhere before then,' Tregoning said.'I don´t know where that will be as we´ll just see how things progress in the next few weeks.'I wouldn´t think he´ll go to Ascot as I think it´ll come too quick, but we´re looking at mile-and-a-half races and further I suppose and he´s a nice horse for the future.'Tregoning was delighted to see Aqaleem run so well on what was only his fourth racecourse appearance and reports him to have emerged unscathed.'He´s very well and he´s sound. He lost some weight considering how warm it was but I´m very pleased with him,' he added.'It was a very good run and hopefully it´s promising for the future. In his case I think it certainly is because he´s a slower-maturing type than some of them.'(C) PA Sport
