Leger one-two rematch on cards

St Leger winner Millenary could be set for a rematch with runner-up Air Marshall at Newmarket next Friday.

The pair, who were separated by three-quarters of a length in the final Classic of the year at Doncaster last September, headed 12 entries confirmed today for the stg£60,000 Sagitta Jockey Club Stakes.

Britain`s first big mile-and-half race of the year for older horses could also be contested by 2000 French Derby winner Holding Court and the Henry Cecil-trained pair Sandmason and Wellbeing.

But Godolphin have withdrawn four of their five original entries from the Group Two event, relying solely on ex-French colt Kutub.

Confirmations: Holding Court, Millenary, Air Marshall, Kutub, Murghem, Border Arrow, Boreas, Garden Society, Kuwait Trooper, Salford Express, Sandmason, Wellbeing.
