Leicester meeting abandoned

Tomorrow`s meeting at Leicester has been abandoned due to a waterlogged course.

Water from a nearby sewerage plant overflowed onto parts of the track on Saturday morning and combined with heavy rain put the meeting in doubt.

Officials who inspected at 9.00 a.m. this morning found the course unraceable and the meeting has been called off.
