Manchester United fans allocated area for demonstration at Cheltenham. Edward Gillespie, Cheltenham racecourse´s managing director, has granted Manchester United supporters a designated area in which to protest against the involvement of United shareholders JP McManus and John Magnier at Old Trafford.Gillespie stated 'I have something in mind but that is something for me to discuss with the Manchester United fans. The reason we have suggested that it is as much for public safety and for trying to maximise the efficient running of the race meeting.' In response to Gillespie´s statement the Manchester United protest group reported 'United4Action wishes to recognise the lengths Mr Gillespie and his board have gone to over this matter and their continued efforts to find an amicable solution for all sides.'
