McCoy fit to ride today

Champion jockey Tony McCoy will continue his race for the fastest-ever double century of winners at Wincanton today.

McCoy suffered three falls at Newbury on Wednesday and gave up his last ride of the day, leaving him still one short of the magical figure.

His participation this afternoon had been a slight doubt but his agent Dave Roberts confirmed this morning: 'Tony is going to ride. He was a bit sore but he`s OK.'

McCoy has five booked rides and his best chance of success may come aboard the Martin Pipe-trained Bounce Back, forecast to go off odds-on in the third race, the Corscombe Novices` Chase, at 2.00pm.

McCoy has never previously reached the 200-winner mark before February 18 and is aiming is to break Sir Gordon Richards` record of 269 victories in a season.
