McCoy Worried By L'Ami Burden Tony McCoy admits L'Ami faces a stiff task in the John Smith's Grand National at Aintree on Saturday. The Francois Doumen-trained raider has not scored for over two years, but will be asked to carry 11st 8lb in the four-and-a-half-mile marathon at the weekend.L'Ami got closer to Gold Cup hero Kauto Star than any other horse this season, however, when finishing a close second in the Aon Chase at Newbury in February.Despite that sterling effort, big-race pilot McCoy feels he could be anchored by the steadying burden on Saturday.'The drying ground won't be a problem for L'Ami, but I'm very worried about the weight,' he told the Racing Post.'It is a big ask to defy 11st 8lb in the National, but we got lucky for JP McManus with Butler's Cabin, so we can but give it our best shot again and hope for the best.'(C) PA Sport
