McLaughlin off the mark

Trainer Thomas McLaughlin saddled his first winner this evening in Roscommon when landing The Tote Jackpot Races 3 to 6 Maiden. It was given a strong ride by apprentice Gary Carroll to win by 3/4 Length.

McLaughlin who hails from Rathmullen Co Donegal said, "wasn´t really a surprise to us, ran a nice race at the Curragh last day and he´ll get us the winter corn".
