MCR GROUP TO SPONSOR DUNDALK'S OPENING MEETING Dundalk Stadium has announced that the Dublin based Construction Services and Recruitment Company, MCR Group, will sponsor Ireland's first all-weather meeting later this summer. ?MCR Group Race Day' will take place on Sunday 26th August 2007. The ticket-only event will commence with a gala opening ceremony followed by the first of seven races starting at 2.30pm. A commemorative pin will also be given to each patron, to mark this historic occasion. Tickets go on sale next Monday, 11th June from Dundalk Stadium. Jim Martin, CEO of Dundalk Stadium says 'Dundalk Stadium is delighted to be partners with such a young and dynamic company as MCR Group. We are looking forward to the Grand Opening and to a bright future for the stadium and racing in Ireland.' Commenting on the sponsorship, Donall Barrett, Sales Director at the MCR Group said: 'As soon as we heard about this project, we knew it was something we wanted to get involved in. Dundalk's new All-Weather Racetrack is an exciting project and we at MCR are delighted to sponsor the opening meeting. We feel it's an ideal association for a young and vibrant company such as MCR. Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Horse Racing Ireland also welcomes the opening of the new stadium; 'Dundalk's new all-weather racetrack will make history on a number of fronts: Ireland's first all-weather track, our first floodlit racetrack and the first combined horse and greyhound racing facility. It will be a wonderful sporting asset for Dundalk, the North-East and the entire border region.'
