Murphy Plots Tuscan Raid

John Murphy expects Tuscan Evening to make a seamless transition to Group Two company in the Ballygallon Stud Debutante Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Oasis Dream filly is still a maiden but performed laudably on her last two starts at the track when runner-up to Listen in a Listed race and Myboycharlie in the Group Three Anglesey Stakes.

Prior to that, Tuscan Evening was a good ninth to Elletelle in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot.

'The plan is to run her on Sunday and the seven furlongs will be no problem,' insisted the County Cork handler.

'Although she finished second in a Group Three on heavy on her last run, she will be a lot better horse on better ground.

'She was also very unlucky to come across a really good horse in Myboycharlie.

'We were going to run her in a maiden after that but she's come on so much we'll keep her at that level for a while.

'She thrives on her racing ? so needs no break from it ? and she seems to be improving all the time.

'We're going to have a lot of fun with her, hopefully.'
