Murtagh Appointed New Ballydoyle Jockey Johnny Murtagh will be the number one jockey at Ballydoyle this year.Murtagh?s agent Eddie Byrne confirmed this evening that the Navan-born rider will take over the position at the end of March after he fulfills a contract in Dubai.?Johnny is obviously delighted and really looking forward to riding for John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith. He would also like to thank Michael Halford and Ger Lyons for all their support and hopes to continue a successful association with both yards in the future,? said Byrne.
