Myboycharlie to bypass English 2000 Guineas

Tommy Stack´s Myboycharlie will bypass the English 2000 Guineas on May 3, and will instead make his reappearance in the Group 3 Tetrarch Stakes over 7f at the Curragh on May 5.

Myboycharlie had been as short as a 20/1 shot in ante-post lists for the Newmarket Classic but Fozzy Stack, son of and assistant to the colt´s trainer Tommy Stack, said: "Myboycharlie will start off in the Tetrarch and how he gets on in that race will help decide whether he goes for the Boylesports Irish 2,000 Guineas or goes sprinting."

Myboycharlie won his first three races at two, including the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville in August. On his final start of the season, he finished third behind New Approach when stepped up to 7f for the first time in the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh in September.
