Nannina Team Target Nassau Glory John Gosden believes Goodwood's unique contours will bring out the best in Nannina as the trainer chases his second victory in the Blue Square Nassau Stakes on Saturday week.Ten years on from winning the race with Ryafan, Gosden will send out dual Royal Ascot winner Nannina to improve on her third-placed effort 12 months ago when she chased home Alexander Goldrun and Ouija Board.Like last year, the four-year-old disappointed en route to Glorious Goodwood in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket, and Gosden tabled the idea that straight courses do not suit his Group One-winning filly. He said: 'Her run last year with Ouija Board and Alexander Goldrun was her best performance of the season on ratings.'We have been waiting for this race and she enjoys the course as it keeps her interested ? she gets a bit bored on the straight courses.'She has ran three times at Newmarket and has done the same thing every time.'I think she just gets bored halfway down the straight and she has never had the pace she wants either.'(C) PA Sport
