Noelie on target for Haydock Trainer Henrietta Knight today declared she was 'delighted' with Lord Noelie`s run at Wetherby - despite his unlucky fall when full of running. The eight-year-old, a 4-1 chance, came down at the third-last fence in the Peterhouse Group Charlie Hall Chase after seeming set to play a major part in the contest won by Irish-trained Sackville.Knight said today: 'He seems okay. It was very disappointing that he fell because he was going so well. I didn`t think he would have won but, talking to the jockey (Jim Culloty), he thought he would have won.'You never know three fences on what will happen but he was adamant that he hadn`t even moved on the horse. It is quite encouraging for the future. He is unscathed and is fine.'She added that the Edward Hanmer Memorial Chase at Haydock on November 18th would be Lord Noelie`s next target - but he is also in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on December 1.'He would probably be all right in the Edward Hanmer but he is entered for the Hennessy. There are such a lot of other important races but, if you wait for the later races, you risk it being very heavy ground.'At the moment, the ground isn`t too bad. It was lovely ground yesterday. He`s not a horse who goes on heavy ground. 'He was lightly raced last year due to the weather and due to the heavy ground. He was pulled out of the Hennessy because of heavy ground.'We had to run him at Liverpool because there was nothing else for him and he just had to take his chance. He ran very well at Liverpool but the ground wasn`t in his favour.Lord Noelie was a 20-1 chance when finishing 10 lengths second under Culloty behind the French-trained favourite First Gold in the Martell Cup Chase at Aintree in April.'I am delighted with the horse but he will have to have another run to redeem his reputation,' said Knight. She also had news of another stable favourite, Edredon Bleu, who scored by a short head over Fadalko under Tony McCoy in the ladbrokescasino.comChampionship Chase, a Grade One event, at Sandown at the end of April. He was earlier sixth behind First Gold in the Pertemps King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day last year.'He is in great form and is very perky. There aren`t many races for him so we just keep him for the really important races.'He didn`t do anything wrong last season.'Edredon Bleu is being aimed at the #50,000 Grade Two BBA Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on November 24, before a tilt at the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham at next year`s Festival meeting.'If we can find one race between those, we will,' she added.
