O`BRIEN HAS STRONG HAND IN DANTE Aidan O`Brien had 13 of the 96 entries published today for the stg£145,000 Convergent Communications Dante Stakes at York on May 16th. Hemingway, who misses the Sagitta 2000 Guineas because of a setback, has been put in the York race. The Ballydoyle squad, which could face problems travelling because of the foot-and-mouth situation, also includes Group One winner Beckett and the well-regarded Galileo. Vodafone Derby favourite Nayef is also in the Group Two contest which is regarded as the leading trial for the Derby. Dewhurst Stakes hero Tobougg is one of 13 Godolphin-trained entries in the extended 10-furlong contest. Trainer Saeed bin Suroor also has Champagne Stakes winner Noverre and the highly-touted Rumpold in his team along with Celtic Silence and Atlantis Prince, fourth and 11th respectively in Saturday`s UAE Derby. Henry Cecil has nine entries while Sir Michael Stoute`s squad of six includes Racing Post Trophy winner Dilshaan, the unexposed Carnival Dancer and Golan, and The Queen`s Border Comet.
