Oratorio To Miss Juddmonte

Oratorio will bypass this season´s renewal of the Juddmonte International at York on Tuesday week.

Aidan O´Brien´s colt, who humbled Vodafone Derby hero Motivator in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes, has had a troubled training schedule since winning the Group One event, and failed to prove his fitness in time for the Ebor highlight.

O´Brien told the Racing Post: 'He´ll start off cantering later this week but York is going to come too soon for him.

'We´ll see how he comes along before making plans for later in the season.'

O´Brien hinted that Ace, who finished fifth behind Azamour in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes last month, may now deputise for Oratorio at York.

'He´s in good form and we´ll certainly be having a look at the Juddmonte for him,' added O´Brien.
