Outsider Pegnitz will miss tomorrow's Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot after suffering a slight setback.

Clive Brittain, the five-year-old's trainer, said: "He pulled out feelingly this morning. The vet checked him over and found the horse to be lame on his near-fore.

"Although it is nothing too serious, it is enough to stop him running - he is not 100 per cent."

Pegnitz's defection leaves a field of seven for the 10-furlong Group One contest.
