Pipe concerned about ground for Swinger Martin Pipe warned today that the ground in Japan might prove too fast for Exit Swinger as he prepares the gelding for the Nakayama Grand Jump run in the early hours of tomorrow morning.'Exit Swinger looks very well and he`s eating well,' Pipe said from Japan.'He had a walk around the track and seems in good form.'But the ground is very, very fast, even though it has a good covering of grass.'We have been drawn 13, while the winner of the race for the last two years, Gokai, is drawn 16. That`s not a good position, but he comes from the back so he should be all right. I have been told the New Zealand runner, Rand, is well fancied.'As well as Exit Swinger, Cenkos, from the Paul Nicholls stable, and the Venetia Williams-trained Banker Count represent Britain in tomorrow`s contest worth Stg£419,419 to the winner.
