Pipe unveils strong Arkle team

Arkle favourite Seebald heads Martin Pipe`s typically strong entry for the novice chases at the Cheltenham Festival, revealed today.

William Hill`s 5-1 co-favourite for the two-mile Irish Independent sponsored event, unbeaten in seven races to date over fences, is among the champion trainer`s eight entries for the race.

Pipe`s website martinpipe.co.uk reveals that Mr Cool, Hit And Run and Copeland were also put in the March 12th contest when entries closed on Wednesday, along with Bounce Back, Iznogoud, Jean d`Auteuil and Royal Auclair.

The last four named are engaged in the Royal & SunAlliance Novices` Chase over an extended three miles too, together with Manx Magic, Jour J and unbeaten chaser Carryonharry.

Pipe won the Arkle with Or Royal in 1997 and with Champleve a year later, while he took the SunAlliance with Rolling Ball in 1991 and Miinnehoma in 1992.
