Quinn wins appeal against license suspension

Curragh trainer John Quinn has had a four month suspension quashed after an appeal at the Turf Club today.

Quinn had been handed the suspension and a ?5,000 fine, back in February, after being found guilty of running Rokocoko while the horse was subject of a restriction notice. The fine has also been halved.

Rokocoko raced at Tipperary on July 23rd 2006 when he was under the notice which pertained to the Disease of Animals Act 1966.

Quinn gave a written undertaking not to defy a restriction notice in future. The appeals body instructed that his next application for a license be closely reviewed.
