Ramonti On Target For QEII Ramonti is on course to bid for a third Group One success of the season in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot in two weeks' time following his recent run at Longchamp.Godolphin's five-year-old was beaten two lengths by Darjina in the Prix du Moulin, having landed the Sussex Stakes and the Queen Anne Stakes in his previous two starts.'It was a fairly modest overall time and probably with hindsight maybe we should have run a pacemaker for our horse. Having said that, no excuses, the best horse won,' Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford told At The Races.'Ramonti has been a great credit to the stable, winning two Group Ones and finishing second in two Group Ones.'He'll head to the QEII now, all being well, and I'm sure he'll give another good account of himself.'(C) PA Sport
