Rebel Gallop Thrills Huffer

Geoff Huffer cannot wait for the Irish 2000 Guineas after Cockney Rebel put in a spellbinding piece of work on the Newmarket gallops.

The three-year-old colt is on a quest to land back-to-back Guineas in the Boylesports-sponsored contest next Saturday following his emphatic success at Newmarket earlier this month.

Preparation for the Curragh assignment has not gone any better either as Cockney Rebel delighted his trainer with a memorable gallop on Saturday morning.

Huffer said: 'That was the best piece of work I´ve ever seen from a horse.

'He moved so well, and it seems unbelievable, but he has come on for his run in the Guineas.

'He leaves for Ireland on Friday ? I can´t wait for him to run.

'The only reason he wouldn´t run is if the ground came up heavy,' the Newmarket handler told the Racing Post.
