Rebel Moving In On Washington A mouth-watering clash between dual 2000 Guineas hero Cockney Rebel and the mercurial George Washington could be on the cards later in the season.Geoff Huffer, trainer of the former, reported his stable star in great form after his victory at the Curragh at the weekend, and nominated the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on September 29 as a potential target in the autumn. He told At The Races: 'We go to the St James´s Palace on June 19 and we´ll go from there.'Then we might go for the QEII and take on George Washington. And if we get invited to the Breeders´ Cup, we´ll go.'George Washington was a sensational winner of last year´s Newmarket Guineas and QEII, but his racing career looked to be over when he was retired to stud at the end of 2006.But fertility problems led to him rejoining Aidan O´Brien´s Ballydoyle powerbase and he is scheduled to return to the track in the Queen Anne at the Royal meeting, also on June 19.(C) PA Sport
