Regime Back For More

Regime is set to return to France for the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano next month following his narrow defeat at Deauville.

Connections are eyeing the August 18 event following the three-year-old's short-head reverse at the hands of fellow British raider Harland in the Prix Eugene Adam last week.

The Michael Bell-trained colt was returning from a back injury that day and Harry Herbert, racing manager to owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, believes he will come on again for the outing.

'Michael has brought him back steadily so there's definitely improvement to come fitness-wise, and just generally as he is a very lightly-raced horse,' he told At The Races.

'It was unlucky he just got done on the line, but we will probably race him next in a Group Two at Deauville, the Guillaume d'Ornano, later in August.'
