Riches Is Oaks Possible

Rags To Riches is set to drop back to 10 furlongs after her thrilling success in the Belmont Stakes.

The Todd Pletcher-trained filly became the first of her sex to win the mile-and-a-half Classic in 102 years when she edged out Curlin at Belmont Park last Saturday.

Although no definite decision has been made on Rags To Riches´ next target, Pletcher is leaning towards the fillies-only Coaching Club American Oaks on July 21.

'I would say the most likely scenario at this point is the Coaching Club, but there´s no urgency to make a decision,' he told www.bloodhorse.com

Rags To Riches, who is owned by Coolmore´s Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, has won each of her last five starts including the Kentucky Oaks.
